Walter graduated from the University of Georgia and Emory University School of Law.  He focused his legal career in business law litigation and represented some of the world’s largest corporations, which included GE. He served as a lead national trial attorney for GE (as private counsel) for more than 20 years. While serving as trial counsel for GE, he traveled around the eastern US as a guest speaker to speak at their business meetings on business law and litigation.  Walter also served as General Counsel to several billion dollar plus financial institutions in the Atlanta area.  As with GE, Walter was frequently asked by such financial institutions to speak at their business conferences on federal banking regulations and on litigation regarding same.  Working with such corporations and institutions has uniquely prepared him to have a broad understanding of multiple types of businesses and how they function.

Since 2009, Walter’s legal practice has been solely focused on representing clients regarding their real property tax assessments.  Walter’s expertise in this area has been recognized by various Georgia Senators, which culminated in Walter being asked in 2014 to re-write all of the property tax appeal laws for the State of Georgia for the purpose of “leveling the playing field for taxpayers”.  In doing so, Walter appeared and testified before the Georgia Senate Finance Committee and the House Judiciary Committee as an expert on Georgia real property tax appeal laws and regulations.
